PLANT CARE ( Calathea Sanderiana )
Prefers warm to high temperatures, ideally between 18-23°C but can cope with as low as 15°C.
Calathea Sanderiana needs plenty of diffused light however direct sunlight will cause the leaves to fade and lose their markings.
High humidity levels are a must. Stand on a wet pebble tray to improve humidity and mist frequently.
Calathea Sanderiana must be kept in damp soil at all times, but definitely do not allow the plant to sit in water or in very wet soil. |
ADDITIONAL CARE
Getting the light right for your Calathea Sanderiana may be a little challenging you might have to experiment a little to find the perfect spot. They can tolerate light shade but I find they prefer brighter conditions. Direct sun will burn and fade your leaves, they will also start to curl inwards if too hot or too cold. Keep the soil moist at all times but not soggy. Providing your Calathea Sanderiana with a good level of humidity can really help them flourish also help stop their tips from going brown and crispy! You can help raise the humidity by misting regularly, placing your plants on a moist pebbles tray also grouping your plants closer together or even a humidifier.
