Sedum Morganianum | Burro’s Tail likes bright shade or partial sun. It will burn in the strong, hot sun. | |
This is not a necessity however, a quick hose down from time to time will hydrate the leaves and wash away dust or potential pests. | |
When the soil is completely dry, give it a good drenching with water. Wait for it to dry out thoroughly, which might take a few weeks, before watering again. |

Sedum Morganianum | Burro’s Tail does well as an indoor houseplant. Choose a location that receives adequate amounts of sunlight for prolonged periods of time, but like an outdoor setting, exposure to direct sunlight should be avoided. Additionally, it should be placed in a warm, draft-free location. When planting Sedum Morganianum | Burro’s Tail indoors, use a container that offers proper drainage. Also, make sure to plant the donkey’s tail in well-draining soil. As with outdoor planting, you can either use topsoil that has been specially blended for succulents, or you can make your own by mixing together standard soil, perlite, and coarse sand.
