PLANT CARE ( Aeschynanthus Japhrolepis | Lipstick Plant  )

	An ideal room temperature for a lipstick plant is 18–24 °C or 65–75 °F.
	Keep this plant out of direct sunlight during the summer. In the winter, there is plenty of bright sunlight. Lack of light causes plants to not blossom.
	Try to maintain a relative humidity of at least 50%.
	Over the winter and early summer, use little water. Before watering, let the soil gradually dry out.

ADDITIONAL CARE GUIDE FOR LIPSTICK PLANT

Lipstick plants (Aeschynanthus japhrolepis) prefer their soil to dry out a bit between waterings. However, it does not like to stay, sit in water, or get too dry. Aeschynanthus plants that are watered too often usually rot, meaning they will die. Originally from tropical conditions, lipstick plants like high humidity. After the plant blooms, it’s good to trim the shoots. As the plant gets older, its shoots may stretch and become bare, so it’s helpful to regularly renew the plant.

In winter, the Aeschynanthus plant is at rest; it does not bloom or grow. The plant is suitable for hanging baskets. Pressed into the soil, shoots can take root and begin to branch. Cut a few leaves from the cutting, and then plant them in a small pot with a layer of wet sand on top of light soil. Eschananthus needs regular pruning after flowering in addition to regular removal and pinching of dry leaves to maintain its aesthetic beauty.
