PLANT CARE ( Lampranthus Spectabilis | Vygie )
|In the summer room temperature is enough, although the plant tolerates heat, in winter minimum of 50°F.|
|Bright sun, some direct sunlight. Suitable south, south-west window. In the shade, the plant does not bloom, with weak branches.|
|Low humidity required, Lampranthus Spectabilis | Vygie tolerates dry air.|
|The top layer of soil between watering in the summer should dry up. Watering soft water approximately every 12-15 days.|
Lampranthus Spectabilis | Vygie plants prefer full sun and well-drained soil. Protect from harsh frosts. If kept in pots, water sparingly in winter, re-pot every spring, and water more generously in summer. Deadhead the flowers to encourage more throughout the summer. Some plants can be short-lived and become rather woody, so expect to replace them every 3-5 years. Lampranthus Spectabilis | Vygie can be affected by downy mildew which can be controlled, if needed, by spraying with a general garden fungicide in early spring before flowering.
