PLANT CARE ( Costus Arabicus | Spiral Ginger )

	Maintain indoor temperatures above 60F. They will tolerate temperatures much lower; however, this can slow growth and flowering.
	Full sun, partial sun or shade, a southern, eastern, western, or northern exposure.
	Maintain humidity at or above 50%; however, they will tolerate low levels with no harm.
	They must be kept in damp soil at all times, but definitely do not allow the plant to sit in water or in very wet soil.

The Costus Arabicus | Spiral Ginger is a relatively undemanding plant to grow. It likes warm temperatures of over 20° C and high humidity of over 60%. It should be kept in a location that is as bright as possible but protected from direct sunlight. However, Direct sunlight in combination with too little humidity can quickly lead to the leaf tips drying out. Additionally, Spiral ginger likes well-drained, loose soil and should never dry out completely. Fertilize with regular houseplant fertilizer approx. every 2 weeks. The Costus Arabicus | Spiral Ginger originally comes from the Amazon rainforest, where it often grows near streams and rivers. It has an underground rhizome from which new stems grow at short intervals. These are up to 3 meters high and twisted in on themselves. At their ends, they form beautiful big white flowers. The particularly beautiful, white variegated (Variegata) form that we offer here remains somewhat smaller with a maximum height of about 1.5 meters.
