ADDITIONAL CARE
Tabebuia Argentea | Yellow Trumpet Tree | Caribbean Trumpet Tree | Silver Trumpet Tree | Tree of Gold is generally easy to grow. It likes full sun and will tolerate salt and drought. If you plant more than one tree, space them 12 to 15 feet apart. You can encourage blooming by cutting off water for six to eight weeks to encourage leaf drop in late winter or early spring. Water it freely during the growing period. It works well near a deck or patio or as a lawn tree. You can grow Tabebuia Argentea in containers and also train them as bonsai. Because of its shallow root system, stake a new Tabebuia Argentea after transplanting to prevent it from toppling over. It has soft, brittle wood that breaks easily in strong winds, but will recover. The tree is also called Paraguayan trumpet tree, silver trumpet tree, tree of gold, or the yellow Tabebuia. Additional, incorrect scientific names include Tecoma argentea and Tecoma caraiba.
