Notocactus does best in high temperatures and low humidity. | |
Water the plant thoroughly and deeply and do not water again until the soil is dry. The top inch of the soil needs to be dry before you water again. |
ADDITIONAL CARE
Notocactus plants require very little maintenance. Container grown plants prefer to be root bound and should only be repotted once every two to three years. Caring for Notocactus is nearly as simple as providing lots of light and forgetting to water. Move powder puff cacti outside in summer. When you keep indoor cactus, be sure to set up a sunny location in a room with a south-facing window during the wintertime. This setting provides the most sunlight. A window location is typically a bit cooler than the rest of the room, and this cool temperature during the winter months is necessary to spur Notocactus to bloom during the growing season. In the spring and the summertime, vary the location to provide your cactus with the most light and heat.
