ADDITIONAL CARE
Maranta leuconeura Fascinator | Prayer Plant leaves are formed at night. In summer, the plant can be taken out to the garden or to the balcony, but it should be protected from the wind. However, the plant does not like drafts and gas combustion products. Moreover, completely dried leaves should be removed in a timely manner. If every sprouting shoot is formed, it should be removed.
From spring until fall, keep the soil wet at all times – a little but regular watering is excellent. Because maranta plants are sensitive to the toxins in tap water, use warm distilled water, filtered water, or rainfall. Additionally, check that any extra water has been drained. However, Feed with a balanced fertilizer every couple of months. Dust should be removed from the leaves on a regular basis.
The best technique to spread a maranta is to divide it. When repotting it in the spring, carefully pry apart the rootball with your fingers – a clump at the side should naturally fall out. Check to see if each clump has a root system.
