ADDITIONAL CARE
Mango | Mangifera Indica tree care is similar to that of any fruit tree. Water the trees deeply to saturate the long taproot. Allow the top surface of the soil to dry to a depth of several inches before watering again. Withhold irrigation for two months prior to flowering and then resume once fruits begin to produce. Choose a location that will allow Mango | Mangifera Indica roots to spread and branches to grow freely. Space plants are far enough from building foundations, walls, and decks so that the growing foliage won’t crowd the structure. Water the plant well then add a 2” (5cm) layer of mulch, such as shredded bark, around the planting area. Keep the mulch at least 4” (10cm) away from the trunk of the plant as this can keep the bark too moist and cause it to decay.
