PLANT CARE ( Mammillaria )
These plants like warm temperatures of 70-80 F. (21-27 C.)
Mammillarias appreciate intense light, but many species dislike direct summer sun for too long. Plant them in an area of your garden that receives 4 hours of direct sunlight a day.
Mammillaria does best in high temperatures and low humidity.
Watering needs are relatively low. Let the soil dry out before you give more water to the plant. |
ADDITIONAL CARE
Cacti are one of the easiest plants for the home gardener. Caring for Mammillaria is nearly as simple as providing lots of light and forgetting to water. When you keep indoor cactus, be sure to set up a sunny location in a room with a south-facing window during the wintertime. This setting provides the most sunlight. A window location is typically a bit cooler than the rest of the room, and this cool temperature during the winter months is necessary to spur Mammillaria to bloom during the growing season. In the spring and the summertime, vary the location to provide your cactus with the most light and heat.
