ADDITIONAL CARE
Ixora Chinensis | Chinese Ixora is a fussy, temperamental houseplant. Even slight exposure to cold or moving the plant can cause it to drop its leaves. Additionally, they need good airflow to avoid black sooty mould, which dulls their shiny leaves and eventually affects the plant’s growth. Ideally, these are greenhouse or conservatory plants, where their blooms are a definite conversation piece. Beware of aggressively trimming Ixora. In winter, the Ixora Chinensis | Chinese Ixora loses its lower leaves. Do not allow drafts and sudden temperature changes. Do not put the pot in a tank of water. It is useful to trim the branches after flowering by half. It is also necessary to pinch to activate flowering and branching. However, strong pruning can inhibit flowering.
