PLANT CARE ( Hoya Overig )
The ideal temperature for the plant at daytime is 70°F (21°C) and above, in night time 60°F – 65°F (16°C – 18°C).
Hoya Overig plant will survive in low light conditions, bright indirect sunlight is best.
Hoya Overig prefers higher humidity than average household levels (40% – 60 %).
Water when the soil is almost dry during the growth phase, infrequently during winter.
Keep Hoya Overig in the same pot for years, but remember to fertilize throughout spring and summer. All Hoya plants need to be potted in planters with drainage. These plants are very sensitive to too much water, so be sure to use well-draining soil with plenty of pumice and/or perlite. Keep your Hoya plants generally in a bright shade. A few hours of gentle direct sunlight can encourage faster growth and more blooms. Do not cut off the flower stalks, which are also known as peduncles, as Hoyas can re-bloom from the same stalk over and over again. It is fairly common for Hoya Overig to ‘abort’ blooms and new leaves, but do not worry too much as they can easily bounce back. Instead, ensure that the plant is getting sufficient light, and is not over or under-watered.
