	The perfect indoor temperature for Greg is between 18-25ºCdegrees Celsius.
	Alocasia Gageana likes bright filtered light but nothing too bright that will scorch his leaves.
	Alocasia Gageana prefers slightly higher humidity levels than what a usual household can provide and he will struggle in very dry spaces.
	Allow the top few inches of soil to become nearly dry before watering. This will help keep the soil evenly moist.

Alocasia gageana, also known as the dwarf elephant ear, grows in a bright, sunny area. It’s important to mention that Alocasia gageana is highly sensitive to low temperatures in the home, especially during the winter when light and temperatures near windows are low. For optimal growth, place the plant in a spot with partial shade and direct east- or west-facing sunlight when outdoors.
It is ideal to use a well-draining arid soil and a high-moisture retentive potting mix that is commonly used in most arids for the soil mix. Allow the surplus water to drain after thoroughly watering the plant. Although alocasia needs more constant hydration than most aroids, overwatering can result in root rot.

This can lead the plant to go into dormancy, where it loses all of its leaves and becomes a dark-colored tuber. If you want to avoid dormancy, keep the plant away from cold rooms or chilly windows. It is very important to stop watering and offer minimum light during dormancy to allow the plant to rest. Additionally, to encourage healthy foliage growth, Alocasia gageana (Dwarf Elephant Ear) benefits from regular fertilizing during its active growing season.
